The Deep Ocean is an unreleased biome of Mope.io. Most information about it was revealed by Lophiirus and Shaun Goodwin on Mopecord in July 2024.

In September 2023, King Of Agario (KOA) posted a poll asking the community which new feature they wanted to be added to Mope.io, with the Deep Ocean being one of these options.[1]

In November 2024, Pasha stated that he was "not sure" whether the Deep Ocean will be released.[2]

In addition, the tablet would provide an unknown effect to players who broke it. There are seven other tablets which have not been revealed yet.[12]

Charybdis, Reaper of the Deep Charybdis-AliveCharybdis-Dead [13] The Charybdis was planned to be part of an event within the "ancient ruins" of the Deep Ocean, where if a player broke the Charybdis' tablet (see above), the Charybdis would appear. The player who kills Charybdis would be awarded with XP and the treasure chest (see above).[11]

Animals

The Deep Ocean food chain was revealed by Shaun Goodwin in Mopecord. It is made up of 16 animals from tiers 1 through to 16. All of these animals, like the Deep Ocean itself, are unreleased.

Monkfish Monkfish
The Monkfish is the first animal for the Deep Ocean food chain. It has no planned special or passive abilities.[14]

SpinyRedCrab Spiny Red Crab
The Spiny Red Crab is the second Deep Ocean animal. Its planned special ability is to burrow in the sand and hurt predators that touch it. The range of predators that would be affected damaged is unknown.[15]

CarpetSharkStriped Carpet Shark
The Carpet Shark is the third Deep Ocean animal. It has the "Extra Boost" special ability, and a unique passive ability: when moving slowly, it becomes 80% transparent and 50% faster. In addition, it has two separate striped and spotted variants; these variants are cosmetic.[16]

Chimaera Chimaera
The Chimaera is the fourth Deep Ocean animal. It has the passive ability of being able to see animals inside hiding holes, like the Fennec Fox.[17] The Chimaera has no planned special abilities

WartyFrogfish Warty Frogfish
The Warty Frogfish is the fifth Deep Ocean animal. It has no planned special ability, but might have a camouflage passive ability.[18]

BlackSwallower Black Swallower
The Black Swallower is the sixth Deep Ocean animal. It has the special ability of swallowing prey whole, in which it will extend its mouth and swallow prey (like the Pelican's "Fly With Prey"ability), damaging the prey, and then opening its mouth, allowing the prey to escape if still alive.[19] The Black Swallower has no planned passive abilities.

Stargazer-S2 Stargazer
The Stargazer is the seventh Deep Ocean animal. Its special ability is activated by pressing W, causing it to become transparent to a degree with the Deep Ocean sand. When touched by another animal, the Stargazer reveals itself and poisons the animal that touched it. Additionally, if W is pressed again, the Stargazer emits a discharge radius (similarly to the Stingray's "Electric Shock") which stuns any animal in the area of effect (AOE).[20] The Stargazer has no planned passive abilities.

Fangtooth-S2 Fangtooth
The Fangtooth is the eighth Deep Ocean animal. It has the passive ability of seeing disguised animals without being affected by their disguise, whether the disguise is invisiblity (e.g. Lioness) or mimicry (Macaw, Octopus etc.). This passive ability does not work on the Bobbit Worm disguises, however. The Fangtooth's special ability is a bite that occurs in close proximity, inflicting bleeding onto the affected animal.[21]

Viperfish Viperfish
The Viperfish is the ninth Deep Ocean animal. It has no planned passive abilities. However, the special ability of the Viperfish is a shockwave similar to the Stingray; prey caught in the area of effect (AOE) will not be able to rotate their animal around and have 10% reduced speed for 3 seconds, while predators will just be stunned.[22]

GoblinShark Goblin Shark
The Goblin Shark is the 10th Deep Ocean animal. It has the special ability "Jaw Bite", like the Shark and T-REX, which will reach foward and bite prey, damaging it. Compared to the Shark, the Goblin Shark's ability has longer range at the cost of reduced damage and bleeding[23]

GiantIsopod Giant Isopod
The Giant Isopod is the 11th Deep Ocean animal. It has no passive abilities, but does have the special ability "Roll" like the Armadillo. However, the Giant Isopod's "Roll" ability lasts longer and is interrupted if the Giant Isopod collides with another animal, is stunned or takes damage. Any animal that collides with it will take damage themselves.[24]

Anglerfish Anglerfish
The Anglerfish is the 12th Deep Ocean animal. It has no passive abilities, but has a special ability which allows it to camouflage and create bait. Similarly to the Blackwidow Spider's special ability, if prey touches bait from the Anglerfish's ability, it will be pulled in and damaged.[25]

BobbitWorm Bobbit Worm
The Bobbit Worm is the 13th Deep Ocean animal. It has no known passive abilities, and has the special ability "Disguise", allowing it to mimic Deep Ocean entities. Notably, although the Fangtooth has the passive ability of seeing through most disguises, it would not be able to see through a Bobbit Worm disguise.[26]

SpiderCrab Spider Crab
The Spider Crab is the 14th Deep Ocean animal. It has no known passive abilities. Its special ability is an arm slam which works similarly to the King Crab's "Arm Smash" ability: when pressing W, the Spider Crab smashes one of its two arms and knocks prey back. If the W key is held rather than pressed once, the Spider Crab will smash both arms instead of one. When using this ability, the Spider Crab will temporarily become immobile.[27]

GiantSquidDeepOcean Giant Squid
The Giant Squid is the 15th Deep Ocean animal. It has no known passive abilities, but its special ability is to latch onto prey: by pressing W, the Giant Squid latches onto prey, inflicting damage and slowing movement/rotation speed.[28]

FrilledShark Frilled Shark
The Frilled Shark is the 16th and final animal for the Deep Ocean food chain. It has the special ability of grabbing prey, and dragging the prey underwater to damage it, similarly to the Sea Monster's "Whirlpool" ability.[29] It is unknown what the Frilled Shark's passive ability is, if any.
