Various social media platforms are used by the developers and designers of Mope.io to connect with the community, leak spoilers and send messages to the community about possible upcoming updates. They are also commonly used by the Mope.io community to provide recommendations, criticism, or simply to converse about the game.
As of 2026, the Discord server is the most frequently-used official platform by the developers, as well as most of the community.
There are currently two official social media platforms for Mope.io: Discord and Reddit. An account is required for each respective site in order to participate/join these sites.

The Mopecord, formerly known as the official Mope.io Discord, is a chatting site used by fans, developers and designers, to communicate about Mope.io-related topics with the community, as well as unrelated discussion. It is frequented by multiple designers and affiliates of Mope.io, with official events and competitions yielding in-game currency occasionally announced. The minimum age requirement to participate in the server's activities is 13.
The Mope.io Official Subreddit is a forum on Reddit that is commonly used by fans for discussions relating to gameplay, suggestions and critiques, sharing art, etc. While formerly the hotspot for Mope.io discussion, its placement has since been taken by Mopecord c. 2023-2024 and is largely inactive.

The following social media sources used to be official Mope.io social media, but are no longer official due to the person/entity associated with the account having resigned as developer of Mope.io.
King Of Agario (KOA)'s YouTube channel was used by him to make community posts about the game, release teaser videos of upcoming features, and livestream Mope.io gameplay with fans.
When KOA resigned in February 2024, his YouTube channel stopped being used for official teasers. Most recent activity on the channel is for his new game Strik.io. However, KOA has recently posted old unreleased Mope.io content such as a Deathworm experimental game from 2020.

The YouTube channel of Addicting Games (AG) was used to post videos with information about recent updates to Mope.io, primarily active from 2021 to 2023. Mope.io was acquired from AG by 3AM Experiences in August 2024, making their channel no longer official for Mope.io. Now, they mainly create videos to advertise other games on their website.
The Mope.io account on Twitter (X) was managed by KOA. It was primarily used to tease upcoming updates, and re-share artwork from fans. Like KOA's YouTube channel, the account is no longer official due to KOA resigning in February 2024.
The Mope.io Facebook page was created by Clickstan shortly after the game's release to promote it to a wider audience. It is no longer used, with the most recent post being in March 2017.
