The Raven is a tier 8 Forest animal in Mope.io, and the equivalent of the Cobra, Giraffe, Stingray, Walrus, Snowy Owl, and Camel.

It was initially released on October 2, 2020, as a tier 6 animal. On December 20, 2022, the Raven was moved up to tier 8.

Technical

The Raven upgrades from Zebra, Donkey, Macaw, Turtle, Muskox, or Warthog at 25K XP.
Upon reaching 40K XP, it evolves into Cheetah, Gorilla, Toucan, Pufferfish, Rattlesnake or Snow Leopard.
It can eat almost all food sources, except for: clams, conches, cacti, aloevera, coconuts, and large meat.
Prey of the Raven includes all animals below it from tier 7 to tier 3 (Zebra to Mole).
Predators of the Raven includes all animals above it from tier 9 to tier 17 (Cheetah to Black Dragon).
The Raven's special ability has two separate effects:
- "Caw": by holding W on low-ground (anywhere that is not a hill or a tree), the Raven will emit multiple soundwave calls that stun predators and prey of the Raven. They are similar to the Rattlesnake or Macaw's special abilities; a large circle of stunning. While doing this, the Raven will say "CAW!" in the chat.
- "Fly": by holding W on a hill or tree, the Raven will start flying. This effect comes to a shutdown when you release the W key.
The Raven can use all hiding spots aside from small hiding holes.

Appearance

The Raven's default skin is the Season 1 / Classic version. It is a slender black bird, with two wings that are a combination of light and dark black. The wings are feathery. Its tail consists of long black feathers. When the Raven uses its 'Caw' ability, it will spread out its wings, open its beak and bare its eyes slightly.

Strategy

Leveling up will be easiest by eating red mushrooms or pears, which are abundant near Mushroom Bushes and Lakes; however, they can be found scattered all around the Land biome.
Realistically, there is no need to attempt to hunt for prey, as the aforementioned resources are a fast and adequate way of leveling up.
- Since the "Caw" ability is more defense-based, it is harder to take an offensive approach with it. But if prey is distracted or being chased by another predator and/or coming towards the player for whatever reason, use the caw to stun and kill it.
- However, if the player were to try eat prey, they should fly from hills to catch up to them when they run away.
- Deer are simple targets as they are unable to climb on hills (except for the Marsh Deer or Doe), or trees.
Sometimes when the player behind a predator, the player can fly above them and bite their tails, then climb up a tree for a fast escape.
- Whilst flying above the targeted predator, the player should try to look occupied with something else (otherwise the predator may become suspicious and defensive), then fly down and bite the predator's tail while they are doing something else time-consuming. This is fairly risky, and there is not a high success rate, but it can work.

Trivia

Shaun Goodwin originally designed the Raven's image in October 2019 and showed it to King Of Agario. It was only used a year later, when the Raven was formally released.^[1]
The caw ability is quite similar to the Rattlesnake and Macaw's abilities.
